Fred Allen & Associates provides a full-time presence at the South Carolina Statehouse. This benefits our clients by allowing us to remain up to date on all legislative and governmental actions. Our long term relationships with key legislative leaders afford us an unmatched ability to generate initial support from the highest levels for our client’s issues. But we don’t stop with leadership. It is a hallmark of our lobbying efforts that we are able to gather outspoken support and strong sponsors from all levels of the General Assembly. Our 20 years of experience has given us the judgment to know what will work to accomplish a client’s goals in the halls of state government

We regularly communicate any news and legislative action updating our clients with pertinent information and helping them determine what it means to them. We are available to testify before subcommittees and committees and/or help our client prepare to testify if needed.

Monitoring

We offer customized legislative reports on pending legislation, committee action and any other news throughout the legislative session. Many updates found on the internet and in the newspapers do not include subcommittee actions and the real meaning of members’ actions and comments. We include discussion of every detail of the matter and what it means to our clients. Reports are sent to our clients every Thursday afternoon or Friday or as needed during the session. They contain the latest update on bills and also a calendar of upcoming events and meetings.

Coalition Building

Businesses and associations rarely stand alone on legislative issues. There are often common interests that help form coalitions that lead to a successful campaign. Coordination of these coalitions is key in an effective legislative effort. We provide the resources to help clients build the necessary coalitions that lead to success.

In-district Outreach

Fred Allen & Associates knows real impact comes from legislators’ constituents. Many legislative campaigns require more than traditional lobbying efforts. Effective campaigns combine a variety of grassroots strategies including personalized emails, grasstops letters and face to face meetings with interested parties. We have proven successes on conducting in-district outreach to show members how people in their districts REALLY feel about issues that they face at the Capitol.

Event Planning

We have extensive experience in planning  and executing special events from the level of a committee dinner  to the Republican Governors Association meeting. These events provide our clients with great opportunities to develop relationships with key legislative leaders.
